Featuring compelling examples of what can be achieved using the most natural and sustainable of materials, the 2022 Structural Timber Awards are a celebration of not only outstanding projects and inspiring individuals, but the coming together of an industry.
On 12 October 2022 at the National Conference Centre, Birmingham, construction professionals gathered to celebrate architectural achievements and engineering ingenuity in timber construction.
Although we couldn’t be at the awards this year, along with the other partners, we were so pleased to hear two of our projects won awards.
The first was the Low Energy Project of the Year, for Contemporary Eco House Tarn Moor.
Tarn Moor – spruce glulam construction.
Cranked beams forming a central valley with dowelled and plugged fixings.
Architect – Adam Knibb Architects
Structural engineer – Eckersley O’Callaghan
Energy Consultants – Mesh Energy
M&E – Solarcrest
Contractor – Hickory Construction Ltd
The second award was the Retail & Leisure project award, which was given to Clifford’s Tower. What was particularly special was that Clifford’s Tower also received the Winner of Winners award! You can read more about the project here.

These builds are never down to one person, it is always a combination of our team and the relationships with have with the architects, engineers, designers etc that make them come to life so we’re so pleased their hard work has been recognised.
